The Medical Board of California pretends to offer the public the opportunity to have a physician investigated and disciplined for substandard care. But in fact they protect their member physicians, NOT the public. I filed a complaint against a Palo Alto Board Certified doctor who did the wrong surgery on me. This *** operated on 20 of the wrong parts, including the wrong leg. This is battery. He caused so much damage to my knees and other... Read more

The Medical Board is a worthless and corrupt organization. It is run by Doctors that cover and protect each other, no matter the situation..Even when patients have been maimed, died, have permanent damage from terrible doctors, often nothing happens. The doctors continue to practice and hurt more people..One doctor in San Diego permanently maimed countless patients, and even after 5 Lawsuits, the Board put him on Probation and he continued to... Board seems to favor Kaiser Permenente regarding complaints about doctors misbehavior. Might someone be getting kickbacks to overlook bad medical practice? According to the board a problem with weakness and pain, in left arm, had nothing to do with a heart problem. What school did they attend? Ridiculous isn't it! Also hard to believe!!!

The medical board in California is so disappointing. I thought they would be more evolved but just the opposite. I am very surprised. The attorneys abuse the privilege they have been granted in representing our board and our profession. It is also at tremendous financial expense to the state of California. It is a system that is broken. We created the equivalent of board sanctioned ambulance chasers with no accountability or honest regard... Read more

In October of 2010 I took my wife to Kaiser hospital for a kidney stone, she was sent home with a deadly infection, I was not told where she acquired it, she died 6 grueling weeks later, I held (and still do) Kaiser hospital and the doctors that worked on her responsible. The California medical board held my complaint for 8 months with no contact to me, they were totally silent as if they were waiting for me to forget what had happened, after 8... Read more

—40— O’Shaughnessy’s • Winter/Spring 2013 It’s been tough at times, juggling medicine and motherhood. I never wanted children until I hit 30. Then I wanted four of them. I had four kids in seven years while being in solo practice that didn’t include inpatient care, didn’t take any managed care patients, and was literally five minutes from home. I was sole proprietor/owner of Family Medical Clinic of Perris, a small city in Riverside County.... Read more

Vicky Thornton's transfer from Medical Board Headquarters to the bowels of the Board of Accountancy has been of seismic proportions. With NINE open positions at the CBA, Vicky and David have a different desk for EVERY DAY of the week upon which to *** with extras for twofers! Go you Rabbit Thorntons, GO. David spanks another jackpot, WOO HOO! Vicky and David didn't move alone. Ed Howard of harlot Liz Figueora's office joined the parade. Kim... Read more

The California Medical Board is at it again. Just last week, it denied the application for a California medical license of a young doctor, now a resident at one of southern California's prestigious teaching hospital. The reason--a conviction for a "wet reckless" over two years ago, in another state, for which the doc served his probation, paid his fine, did his substance abuse evaluation, and never repeated. I'm not saying it's a... Read more

The Physician Diversion Program of California was hijacked by David Thornton, former Director of the California Medical Board. David Thornton appointed stealth Trial Lawyer Lobbyist Julianne D'angelo Fellmeth of CPIL (Center for Public Interest Law) as Diversion Monitor. Her 20 years of animosity towards Physicians and Diversion was legitimized and memorialized in her November 2004 biased audit. That is equivalent to hiring David Duke to... Read more
